Estelle feat. Kanye West nel Video American Boy !!!

   American Boy” is the second single from Estelle’s second album, Shine. The song features U.S. rapper Kanye West. It was released physically in the UK on March 21 with the album release on March 31.

The song has been A-listed by Radio 1 and B-listed by Radio 2. It uses the same beat as “Impatient” from will.i.am’s album Songs About Girls, and this song itself is also produced by will.i.am.

The single charted inside the UK Top 75 based only on the live version released on UK iTunes for 3 days. The single entered the UK Singles Chart at #1 on the chart dated 23 March 2008. The single has also charted on the Irish Singles Chart the same week where it entered at #8 on downloads.

On March 17, the song climbed to Number 1 on the UK iTunes chart, due to extensive radio plays. It has been put on BBC Radio 1’s A-List and was Scott Mills‘ Record Of The Week. The single has already become her most successful in the United States peaking so far at number 75. Also due to the song’s rapid success it has also been the subject of a parody song by Chris Moyles entitled “Somerset Boy”, first airing on The Chris Moyles Show on Wednesday March 26.
